As he approaches the cross, the central act of Jesus’ life, think about the people he encounters along the way. What do you feel about what each of them says and does?
Christ has died. What do you think it was about his death that caused the centurion to praise God and declare: “surely, this was a righteous man”?
Christ has risen! This event was unique in human history. What is your response to the claim of the Bible that Jesus rose from the dead?
Think of a time when you were downcast, or had lost hope. What might it feel like to be met by Jesus at such a moment? Have you ever had a sense that God was with you at such a time?
