Luke 11:1 – 13:35

Have you heard any of these words of Jesus before? Do you find anything he says surprising or challenging? Would you like to say the prayer Jesus taught his disciples to pray?

Before Jesus tells the Pharisees what he thinks of their obsession with rules, he talks about the sign of Jonah and the idea of a light within us. What do you think of what Jesus said? 

These verses are all about fear and desire. How do you feel about the parable Jesus tells about a ‘rich fool’ and his words: “Don’t be afraid, you are worth more…”?

Do you have any that worries you that you would like to give to Jesus in prayer? What do you think about his words that: “where you treasure is, there your heartwill be also”?

This video talks about being ready for the day that Jesus is coming back. How do you feel about what he said, and what changes might you have to make in your life?

Jesus dismisses here the idea that people get what they deserve – bad things happen to good and bad alike! What do you think about this and what can we learn from the seeds and the yeast?
